Terrible Yellow Eyes show at Gallery Nucleus

I have to say that the Terrible Yellow Eyes show at Gallery Nucleus was perfect; every element came together to create a wonderful experience. As I understand it, TYE drew one of the largest turnouts in Gallery Nucleus' history.

Ben Zhu was kind enough to extend me an invitation to turn TYE, the online collection into a gallery show. This pretty much exceeded any expectation I had for the project and really threw me for a happy loop. Here are some photos of the event. Enjoy.

Special thanks to Joel Fisher for the photography.

My wife, Erin and me.

After a while it couldn't be stopped and people started drawing on the wall. You are sure to see some familiar contributors below :

I'm just happy people enjoy the collection, I've been thrilled and humbled by the response. In the end it is simply a testament to just how much people love Maurice Sendak's stories and pictures.

There are two links I would like to point you towards regarding the show.

The first is Nucleus' official photographs of the show :

And secondly, you can view the entire show online and purchase some of the remaining original work as well.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported the project!

That's all the TYE for today!

Check back next Friday for more of the Terrible!
